Split Mountain Motel

Yeah location is loud next to the road, you get what you pay for, but customer service was top notch and my room was in good condition, no huge issues or downsides. Sure it’s kind of worn down and all but it was good for what I needed, AC works, the kind service made a big difference. Free breakfast too

Stayed here before my adventure to explore Dinosaur National Monument. Wonderful time at Split Mountain Motel, Tej checked me in and him and his manager accommodated my needs well, I walked in the day of without a reservation and they had a room available for me. Room was clean, heater worked great on an unexpected snow day, and close to town to pick up a quick dinner but far enough away to not be bothered with the nightlife. The manager even recommended the Moonshine Arch hike, had it not snowed in the morning it was on my list but I will definitely come back to check it out, thanks for the tip! Would definitely recommend Split Mountain to anyone looking for a stay in Vernal or those who need room quick on the road!

This place served my needs perfectly. The staff here are the kindest I have met at any hotel. This was the most accommodating hotel I’ve been to in regards to booking and departing from. If you want a great story ask the owner about his time in the military and the movies he stared in.

I told the owner I’d write a review. Things I like; it’s cheap, it’s conveniently located. Things I don’t like; it’s next to a loud busy road and the walls are thin. Some people seem to hate this place but dude it was like $70 for a night, what did you expect? The room was average, the shower was decent, I didn’t have the breakfast (it was closed at 10:30am when I tried). Overall I’m happy with this motel. If you need a cheap place to stay and don’t expect much this is perfect for you. If you want more than that go to a best western.

Very pleasantly surprised! Fantastic location; rooms very clean and spacious; bed was quite confortable. Owner greeted us and most gracious. Appreciated contacting us to see if we were on the way and if we needed any special accomodations. We had 2 dogs and again, met our request for a bottom room, near the end of the motel for accessibility. Cannot say enough. Will definitely stay again!!!

I really like the staff and the accomodations that are made They have a cheap (cost of wash) washer and dryer. They have some of the best cable for watching t.v., air conditioning, nice big ice machine, and the location has you set for any type of activities you may be looking for (i.e. dining, drinking, hiking, biking and more). I can walk to many places of business from here. + Breakfast is served from 6-9 am every morning.

Its just my kind of place. These old school hotels are a dying breed. Motorcycle trip for a month and this is what I look for. If you're that picky... go stay at the Hyatt Regency for $$$ per night.
